40°26'29.6"N 79°56'38.4"W

"Social Shield" is an interactive wearable device inspired by Jean-Paul Sartre's concept of "the other as hell" from his play "No Exit."
Designed to maintain personal social distance, this wearable technology comprises glasses with adjustable opacity lenses and a clothing-attached device that displays text and emits sounds based on proximity detection. It aims to protect the wearer's subjective self in social situations, enabling a comfortable distance from others.

The device activates when someone enters the wearer's social comfort zone, darkening the glasses for privacy and alerting with a flashing message to maintain distance. "Social Shield" is a personal boundary enforcer, ensuring freedom and comfort in social interactions.
